What sets Ardent Carpet Restore apart from the competition?

We understand that your furniture is more than just a piece of decor; it's an investment. That’s why we don't just clean it, we protect it. While other cleaners may provide a quick 'express' clean, we take a meticulous approach, ensuring every part of your furniture is thoroughly cleaned and protected, leaving it clean and rejuvenated.

At Ardent, we never compromise on the quality of our cleaning. We are trained and certified by industry leaders, and it's not uncommon for us to spend half or even the entire day cleaning some upholstered items. We take the time to protect your floors, disassemble sectioned pieces, remove cushions, and pull furniture away from the wall for complete cleaning. We address all sides: front, back, side, side, all sides of cushions and pillows, the deck, etc. Doing it right takes more time, but it's the only way we know how to work. That's why our rates are higher than those of many other companies, but it's also why our customers trust us for the best results.

Heavily soiled mattress cleaning in-process

Mattress Cleaning

We often clean upholstery, including mattresses affected by house fires and smoke. This mattress was heavily soiled. It’s important to note that we can only address the surface material when it comes to mattress cleaning. While we’ve had some success at fading certain stains, we do not offer stain removal on mattresses. Also, in the case of odors, such as a fire, it will likely need to be put into an ozone chamber despite the cleaning.

Cleaning in-process of heavily soiled cubicle dividers

Cubicle Dividers

A company taking over a new lease inherited these filthy cubicle dividers left by the previous tenant. We spent two days cleaning the accessible panels to produce a night and day difference. This project worked out because the facility was empty, as the new tenant had not started using it yet. This type of project would not have been feasible if people were working inside their cubicles.

We clean the whole piece of furniture, not just what's visible

Cleaning More than What’s Visible

At Ardent, we pride ourselves on our knowledge, expertise, and thoroughness. Many cheap-rate companies wouldn’t even bother to pull your couch away from the wall, protect your floors, or remove the cushions to clean each side. We do. It is our standard.

Our Cleaning Process

At Ardent, we are versatile in our cleaning methods. We often use a water-rinse extraction method, but we may also use a shampoo or dry foam method for specific materials and situations. In some cases, we may even use a combination of methods. The appropriate cleaning method will be chosen for each item, ensuring the best results for your upholstered items and demonstrating our expertise in the field.

We follow the established and written standards of the ANSI and IICRC. Once we’ve taken measurements and completed our assessment of the items, we’ll provide you with an accurate estimate of the cost of cleaning them. Upon your approval, we’ll begin the cleaning setup by moving furniture items to be cleaned away from walls and other things, laying floor protection underneath, and disassembling sections and cushions. Answers to some commonly asked questions about upholstery cleaning can be found on our FAQs page.

The steps in our process are as follows:

  1. Dry Soil Removal: We remove as much dry soil as possible before applying wet solutions to the upholstered items, including lint, hair, debris, dust, and soil particulates. We usually achieve this by dry vacuuming.
  2. Soil Suspension: We employ the use of engineered products for specific types of materials, whether it be for wet cleaning, shampoo, or dry foam cleaning
  3. Agitation: We use light agitation with a brush or sponge to help spread the products evenly and encourage soil emulsification
  4. Soil Removal (Extraction): This is most often done by water-rinse extraction or dry vacuum extraction in the case of shampooing
  5. Extra drying: When possible, we often use air movers or extra dry strokes to vacuum up as much excess water as possible to encourage drying
  6. Pile Setting or Grooming (when applicable): Some materials, such as velvet, require brushing afterward to relieve marks and matting from the cleaning processes and to allow the fibers to dry upright

Additional Procedures

Heavy soiling, spots, stains, pet issues, or odors may require additional processes, treatments, and labor. These generally incur extra charges and affect the overall cleaning cost. If you want an accurate cost estimate, free consultations are available within 20 miles. A consultation fee may be assessed for areas beyond 20 miles.

How long does it take to dry?

Dry time has many variables. We use techniques to reduce it as much as possible. We expect upholstered items to dry within six hours but often find them nearly dry by the time we leave.

The Cost

There are many variables to fabric & upholstery cleaning, including the size, design, fabric, and other considerations. Most items are typically charged per linear foot or the length of each item. A couch would be measured from the outer end of an arm to the outside end of the opposite arm, and a sectional sofa would be the added length of each section. A typical 3-seat couch averages around $266, and a loveseat around $190. Sectional sofas can range from $300-750 or more.

Due to the extra labor, furniture movement or manipulation, and extra setup required for upholstery cleaning, we have a minimum fee of $300—the minimum setup fee increases for outlying areas. We generally recommend scheduling a consultation if there are more than a couple of items to clean or a large sectional sofa so that we can provide you with an accurate cost estimate ahead of time.
